Derrick Rogan is a dedicated Mental Health Counseling Intern committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with empathy, respect, and a collaborative approach. Currently pursuing his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, Derrick integrates elements of Gestalt, cognitive behavioral, and person-centered approaches to support clients in building self-awareness, resilience, and practical coping skills.

With a professional background in corporate recruitment, higher education, and business consulting, Derrick brings a unique perspective to his counseling work, understanding the personal and professional stressors that can impact mental health. He has experience working with diverse populations in both individual and group settings, including leading men’s mental health initiatives and facilitating supportive community-based discussions within traditionally marginalized communities.

Derrick is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful change. His work is guided by a belief in meeting each client where they are and helping them tap into their own strengths to achieve their goals.

Outside of the counseling room, Derrick is committed to lifelong learning, personal growth, and community engagement.
